Philosophy Cosmote telecom has been promoting Educational Robotics in Greece for the last five years. But in trying to inspire all kids to participate, it faced the popular belief that Robotics is only for boys & geeks.
Enter "ROBOGIRL." A 50-minute family comedy released online and on TV for Christmas. The film tells the story of a young girl, passionate about dancing who doesn’t believe she’s any good at science & math. But when she accidentally breaks her brother’s robot, she has to sign for a Robotics class at school in order to fix it.

There, with the help of her best friend and a boy bullied by the "A" students, they will form a team and build the robot from scratch, but when they’re challenged by the bullies, they will enter the Robotics competition and try to show everyone what they’re capable of.

The movie became the biggest online hit in Greece, with 4M views in a country of 7M users. It was shown at schools by educators and was eventually picked up by a major network and aired as a Christmas TV-movie, becoming the most popular program for teens. As a result, entries to this year's competition, increased by 60%, while 80% of the girls entered after the movie's release.
